As Imelda Baglady in the play Whose Shoes?

Beatrice Augusta is an experienced actress and entertainer. She has undertaken varied roles ranging from Shakespeare to reality TV.

 

 

Training: National Diploma in Dance & Theatre Craft (Hitchin)

 

Key skills: Stage movement/fighting, dance (ballet & contemporary), improvisation, choreography, presenting & voiceovers.

 

Theatre: Regional & touring theatre including The House of Bernarda Alba, A Midsummer Nights Dream & Doctor Faustus.

 

Musicals: Mikado, Pirates of Penzances, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Kismet, Smike

 


During the past five years she has also worked as an extremely successful childrens entertainer and magician.

 

In 2006 she starred in the one-woman show, Whose Shoes?, by the acclaimed playwright Mike Kenny.

 

Singing

Beatrice is an accomplished singer whose range and ability can wow any crowd. She is an experienced recording artist and live performer, who is capable of turning her hand to a number of different styles.

 

She currently fronts successful covers band Scarlet Angel, providing entertainment for corporate events, functions and society weddings. Beatrice also previously perfromed with York/Leeds based originals band Lucid.

Her voice could also be heard during early 2006 in the historic setting of Bootham Bar, York as part of the sound and light piece 'A Sense of Place' for the York Renaissance Project.
